after he had cleared years of weed growth to reveal the inscriptions.
This is the grave of:
Samuel Ray 1790 - 1835, His wife Phillis (Spurling) 1791 - 1862, their children, Samuel 1816 - 1836,
Charles 1819 - 1842, William 1826 - 1839 and Emma 1829 - 1837.
The red brick grave to the left of the picture is no. 139, another of the Ray family with:
Samuel Ray 1656 - 1738, his wife Mary 1649 - 1712 and 3 of their great grandchildren, only one of whom has been identified as Rebecca Ray 1731 - 1734.
