Notes: | Sarah was born at "The Hungate", Emneth. In 1845 her parents moved 200 yards up Hungate Road to "The Wheatsheaf" which they kept till 1856. 1891 census, Sarah, widow, farming at Walsoken Fen with daughters Jessie and Eliza, sons Arthur, Leonard and Hugh. Arthur's future wife Fanny Barton was with them. In the 1901 census, Sarah (a widow) was farming at Marshland Villa, West Walton, with two of her sons, Leonard Smithee and Hugh Leonard. 1911 census, widow, private means at Marsland Villa, Middle Drove, Wisbech, Cambs. |
