Occupation: Occupation: Wine Merchant.
Notes: Baptised St. Paul's, Herne Hill, London, by her uncle, Rev. F. de Paravicini. Godmothers: Annie Cassiot and Maria Eykyn.
Godfather: G. Schlotel.
The 1881 census shows Caroline, Charles and their first born, Hilda, at 166 Beckenham Road, Penge, Surrey.

Caroline was buried at the London Road Cemetery, Bromley. Her daughter Hilda who died ten months later was buried with her. They were buried next to Caroline's father George and step mother Hannah Maria.

Caroline and Hilda's gravestone has not survived. 		Notes: 1851 census, Charles, age 10 months, was with his parents and 3 sisters at Close House, Giggleswick, Yorkshire.
1861 census, Charles, age 10, boarding at Seafield House School, Lytham, Lancs.
1871 census, visiting John Job, (wine agent) Minsterley, Shropshire.
1891 census, Charles, a widower, with his three daughters and son Charles Eric was living at 21 Beckenham Road, Beckenham, Kent. Charles' sister Mary was housekeeping.

After the death of Caroline Schlotel in 1889, Charles remarried

1901 census, Charles and his new wife were at Sandown, Isle of Wight.
1911 census at "Hadley" Clareville Rd., Caterham, Surrey.
Charles' father William was Secretary and General Manager of the North Western Rail Company. By profession an Architect.

Charlotte born 4 March 1888, birth reg June qtr Worksop dist 7b 26.
 George died September qtr 1971, Poole (Dorset) dist 7c 315, aged 89.

CHARLES  ERIC  WHELON born 26 September 1885. Beckenham, Kent.
Married  MARGARET ETHEL CLAVELL SALTER  September qtr 1915, Marylebone ( London) dist 1a 1908.
Margaret born 25 April 1895, 90 Wigmore St., London.
Charles and Margaret had two sons and one daughter.

BASIL  ROY  WHELON  born 3 May 1887, Beckenham, Kent.
1891 census, RG12/629 F86 P8, with step grandmother Hannah Simon at Widmore Lodge, Widmore Road, Bromley, Kent.
Married Ethel Williams in Canada 1911.
They had three sons (one died young).

The Daughters:-

HILDA  FRANCES  WHELON born 27 April 1880, Penge, Surrey. Died 27 June 1890.
Buried at London Road Cemetery, Bromley, Kent, with her mother and next to her grandfather George Simon.

HELEN  MARGARET  WHELON born 4 February 1883, Beckenham, Kent..

GLADYS  MARY  WHELON  born 28 April 1884, Beckenham, Kent..

CAROLINE  MARGERY WHELON born 8 April 1888, Beckenham, Kent. Bromley dist 2a 408.
1901 census, Caroline was with her father and his new wife at Sandown, Isle of Wight.
Married 12 August 1920 to  VYVIAN F SARGENT   Bromley (Kent) dist 2a 1518.   They had no children.
Vyvian born c1879 Brighton, Sussex.
