TRANSCRIPT
Feb 13th 1690
Mr Attlesey       I recd yor letter & the 
substance where of concerning the matter wh was
the ocasion of yor coming to Laxf   I am willing to give my consent 
you should have my
daughter Sarah Ray in marrage as you desire the rather because you say you are 
really
affected to her & doubt not, of her afection to you, wh may give you both joy 
and comfort
when you come together   I pray God to bless & direct you.  As to 
what promise I made
to you shalbe punctually & honestly performed, if about Easter you intend to be 
married
I will soe order the matter that her portion what I promised with what I am 
indebted to her
both then to be pd & what more come to her share after my death of what I leave, 
she shall
have it, for I intend God willing to make all my daughters equall.  I am 
glad to hear of the
good health of all yor friends, in p'ticuler of yor father & mother to whom I 
pray give my
due respects & service to yor brother & all other whoe I doe not know the like 
to yor selfe
not forgetting Sarah.
