From the Will of Rev. Thomas Ray, 1707 - 1773.
"Recites that one James Tye, late of Woodbridge, Gent. was bound to testator by a bond dated 17 March 1768 in £800 and testator gives the principal and interest to Mary his wife if then living and if dead to his daughter Susanna Ray absolutely. To the said daughter Susanna Ray £100. To the Rev. Mr. Loder Allen, my son-in-law books to the value of £5 and papers and MSS. and my gowns, cassock and violin. Residue to my wife Mary and I recommend my son Thomas Ray of Woodbridge to her care. To be buried privately and to be carried to my grave by six poor men each to have 3/6 and I desire no upper bearers. Executors my wife Mary Ray and my nephew Mr. William Ray of Worlingworth, Merchant". Dated 6th November 1773 Proved 17th November 1773. |
