Francis' father William was Chairman of Lloyds and a founder of Rose Thompson Young, marine underwriters at Lloyds  and his mother Frances was born in New South Wales c1838.

Died August 2000 age 96, Reading dist 3201c, reg no. c6b, entry 015.
