It ceased to be used as a Church c1970 and at the time of the photograph was the home of a local community Bowling Club.

In the Churchyard the gravestone of Rev. David Charles Ingham and his son James bears the following inscription:
"Underneath this stone Lieth the body of Mr James Ingham third Son to the Rev. David Charles Ingham Vicar in this Parish
of Kilmessan who depd this Life on the twentyeth day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred & five
agd Nineteen yrs. Here also are deposited the remains of the said David Charles Ingham who for upwards of 32 years was
pastor of the parish. He departed this Life the 22nd of November 1825 aged 82".
The grave slab is approximately 80 inches by 40 inches.
