Source: A tree compiled by John Joseph Stannus (ka John Hugh and Jack) Ingham, son of Dr. Hugh John and Teresa (McDonnell) Ingham after visiting Ireland from his home in New York. He gave a copy to my family in July 1949, when visiting at Ingatestone, Essex.

The Sons:-

JOHN O'DALY  born 1848, O'Daly's Bridge, co. Meath. A civil engineer, he went to Australia and later settled in America,
where he was joined in 1880 by his brother William Vincent.
John died c1888 and was buried in Tyler, Texas.

WILLIAM VINCENT O'DALY  born 14 February 1861, O'Daly's Bridge, co. Meath.
William went to America in 1880, to join his older brother John, he soon became a much sought after civil and mining engineer.
He joined the El Cerro Blanco Mine Company at Imuris in Mexico. There, in 1895, he married Guadalupe Corella, a native of Imuris.
They had two sons: Juan Anthony and William Rafael.
His success in boring a tunnel from both sides of a mountain, to meet with accuracy in the centre,
won the acclaim of engineers worldwide. In 1905, he was contracted to build a railroad through the Mexican State of Sinaloa.
With a guide, he went on an inspection trip, but failed to return when expected. A search was carried out,
joined by William's sister Jemima, who was working in Arizona.
It was learned that he had been killed by his guide.
 He was buried in the wilds of Sinaloa and later moved to the O'Daly burial plot in Imuris.

MARY AGNES O'DALY  born 1849, died 14 September 1899. Unmarried.

MARGARET O'DALY  died 11 June 1870. Unmarried.

SUSAN O'DALY  died 15 May 1886. Unmarried.

JANE EMILY (NINA) O'DALY  Superintendent of St. Christopher's Hospital for babies, Brooklyn, New York.
Died 23 April 1938, Los Angeles. Buried Calvery Cemetery, Los Angeles.

CAROLUS O'DALY  The Reverend Sister Mary Antonio, Director of St. Joseph's Hospital in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Born at Blackwater Mills, O'Daly's Bridge, co. Meath.
Sister Antonio served the sick for 46 years, four in Rome, twelve in Australia, and thirty in South Africa,
where she was the co-founder of the St. Joseph's Hospital, on a capital of twenty pounds.

LOUISA BEDELIA (DILLY) O'DALY  died at Blackwater Mills, O'Daly's Bridge, co. Meath, 10 January 1942.
Unmarried. Buried in Glasnevin BA X 27.

HELEN ANNE O'DALY  died 17 September 1881. Unmarried.

JEMIMA (JIM) ) O'DALY  born c1870 Blackwater Mills, O'Daly's Bridge, co. Meath.
Went to Arizona, where she was a school teacher for some years. Took part in the search in Mexico for her missing brother William Vincent.
This was reported in the Arizona Republican newspaper of 15 November 1905.
On her return to Ireland, she was an interpreter for the Irish Sweepstakes Association and a Gael who suffered imprisonment for seven months
as a result of her activities in aiding Ireland's fight for freedom during the Anglo-Irish war.
1901 census, RG13/1199 F44 P13, was staying with Charles Patrick and Alice Ray Ingham at 42 Priory Road, Chiswick, London.
Jemima never married.
