Hugh worked on the family farm and took over Burnt Oak Farm at Alburgh, Norfolk, when his father retired in 1968.
In 1971 he went into Agricultural Engineering and in 1993 set up his own business in garden and property maintenance.
Hobbies include restoring old cars, engines and tractors.
Hugh once built a river going steamboat.

Pat moved from Colchester to Norwich in 1972 and met Hugh at a nightclub in 1974.
A Parish Councillor, Pat also serves on the Village Hall committee and a fund raising committee for charities.
Works part-time helping elderly people in their homes.
The rest of her time is devoted to her young grandchildren, Emily and Harry.
