Notes: The Manifest of the "Leviathan" from Southampton which arrived New York 3 November 1923 shows Amy, a 2nd class passenger, emigrating. Her description was:- Fair complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, height 5 ft 4 ins. She gave the address she was going to as: J.H. Boone,(a friend) 660 52nd Street, Brooklyn, New York. Amy was accompanied on the voyage by her brother Wilfred, who had previously emigrated in 1913. Notes: 1930 U.S. census, Amy and Joseph were living at 97 Sand Creek Road, Township 12, Fresno, California. USA. Although a schoolteacher by profession, Joseph owned a combination grocery. gasoline station and post office, in Miramonte, California. This is near General Grant Park, part of the Sequoia National Park.
